| Our research is focused on the supramolecular assembly |

| and polymer thin films. Inspired by self-organization in nature, |
| we have been focusing on design and synthesis of new building |
| blocks that are able to self-assemble in solution and interface. |
| Different interfacial assembling methods are developed for low |
| dimensional architectures. Moreover, AFM-based single |
| molecule force spectroscopy is employed to reveal the |
| supramolecular structures and to understand the driving forces |
| of self-assembly on the basis of cooperativity of various |
| intermolecular interactions. It is anticipated that the gap |
| between polymer science and supramolecular science can be |
| bridged, thus leading to development of molecular engineering |
| of supramolecular systems that creates unusual chemical and physical properties in solution, |
| in bulk and at interfaces. |
